The way the world is now, it’s looking like 2024 is going to be one chaotic and stressful year. Here are 15 new cozy games to look forward to this year.
Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story
Let’s start our list with Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story. If you’ve been following the LoL franchise, they’ve released some bangers like the turn-based RPG Ruined King and the platformer Convergence.
Bandle Tale is LoL’s cozy offering. It’s set on an island near Bandle City, the magical home of the cute and furry yordles. One day, the portals that connect your island to the city stopped working. It’s your mission to find out why and fix it. But life isn’t all about completing tasks. Here, you’ll meet new friends, knit presents, farm, build cool gadgets, cook beet soup, and throw parties.
It releases on February 21.
Minami Lane
Let’s go back to something a little more grounded with Minami Lane. Have you ever dreamt of building your own perfect corner in a city? This is your chance.
Minami Lane is a cozy strategy game that lets you oversee the development of a Japanese-inspired street. Build homes for your villagers, open shops, upgrade buildings, and keep your street flourishing.
It’s a short game that promises about 2 to 4 hours of gameplay. It’s coming to PC this February 28.
SUMMERHOUSE
Next is the tiny, little game SUMMERHOUSE releasing on Steam on March 8.
The game’s developer himself created a touching introduction to the game and there’s really no topping it. We’ll let you see for yourself:
Cozynauts
Now let’s blast off to space and build a colony in Cozynauts.
Your adventure will start on an unknown planet with a unique ecosystem. Use the planet’s resources to kickstart your colony.
- Mine and gather supplies
- Craft gears and tools
- And make it cozy to invite more colonists
The full game is set to launch on March 28. Right now, you can check out the demo on Steam.
Lightyear Frontier
Lightyear Frontier promises an even bigger interplanetary experience. This is an open-world farming adventure that focuses on the cozy parts - exploration, farming, and building.
You don’t have to fight monsters or worry about the usual survival mechanics like thirst and hunger. Pilot your mech and have some cozy fun with up to three friends.
Lightyear Frontier is set for an Early Access release on PC and Xbox this March.
Critter Crops
If you want a dash of magic, I present Critter Crops.
You take the role of a young witch named Sylvie who has been banished to a remote island where she discovers a new magical skill. Everything that she plants grows into critters. With this power, she’s determined to restore this island to its former glory. This will involve farming critters, collecting resources, crafting items, meeting other outcasts, and solving the mysteries of this island.
Critter Crops will launch on PC in the first quarter of this year. The Switch version is currently TBA.
The Garden Path
Unwind with The Garden Path.
This is a cozy gardening sim that promises to bring new delights each day. It mirrors the real world so your garden evolves with every visit. You can also complete quests, go fishing, and meet the game’s quirky characters. Designed for short gaming sessions of about 30 minutes, it could be the perfect daily retreat we all need.
Whether you choose to play solo or with a friend, The Garden Path promises a soothing, cozy escape in every moment.
It’s releasing on PC and the Nintendo Switch in the second quarter of this year.
Spirit City: Lofi Sessions
Imagine your own virtual space where lofi beats and cozy soundscapes like a rainstorm set the perfect ambiance for focus and stress relief. This is Spirit City: Lofi Sessions.
This is not your typical game. Yes, you can customize your character, level up, design your room, and even collect spirit companions. Afterlove EP
PC —Switch —PS5 —PS4 —Xbox Series X —Xbox One
Set in the heart of Jakarta, Afterlove EP is a poignant mix of visual novel, rhythm game, and story-driven adventure.
From the creator of Coffee Talk and What Comes After, Afterlove lets you follow Rama, a young musician grappling with the loss of his girlfriend, Cinta. Haunted by her voice, he faces a crossroads: to heal and embrace his music or let his band and dreams slip away? Your choices will determine the outcome.
Afterlove EP is not just a journey through grief, it also highlights Jakarta, its culture and its people.

Little Kitty, Big City
PC —Switch —Xbox Series X —Xbox One
No cozy games list is complete without a cat game.
Little Kitty, Big City is a furry adventure of a cat looking for its way back home. Sure, finding your way home is important but there's no rush.
The city's wonders are calling on you to explore them. Take your time and roam this open-world playground teeming with surprises. You can complete quests, meet new friends, or just walk around.

Tales of the Shire
PC —Switch —PS5 —Xbox Series X
Even Middle Earth needs to chill, too. Tales of the Shire is a cozy, “heart-warming” simulation game about the daily life of hobbits.
We don’t have enough details about this game yet. Since it’s described as “cosy” and is set in the Shire, we can safely expect farming, some cooking, crafting, and even brewing some beers.
One interesting thing is that it’s being developed by Weta Workshop, the special effects company behind the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Expect more details about Tales of the Shire in the coming months as it’s expected to release in 2024.
Mika and The Witch’s Mountain
Inspired by Ghibli movies, specifically Kiki’s Delivery Service, our protagonist Mika is an apprentice witch. She’s on a broom-powered journey to meet her mentor. But Mika’s broom isn’t powerful enough. She now has to take a job at a local delivery service and earn enough to get a better broom.
Mika and The Witch’s Mountain is a game that blends magic with everyday challenges. As she zips across the sky, she’ll encounter unique and interesting characters and discover secrets hidden on the island.
It’s scheduled to release on PC later this year.
Tiny Glade
This next game is perfect for those cozy late-night gaming sessions, those times when you want to be left alone.
Tiny Glade is a free-form castle-building game. You don’t have to gather resources, you don’t need to craft, manage, or kill anything. Build your castle your way, free of judgment.
Just you and your castle in the beautiful European countryside.
Tiny Glade is coming to PC in the third quarter of this year.
Camper Van: Make it Home
If you prefer interior design more than building, Camper Van: Make It Home might be for you.
Transform simple vans into cozy living spaces for our protagonist seeking a new way of life. Design its interior with a smart, stylish touch and make every inch count.
You can play at your own pace. Feel the joy of fitting every item from your luggage into the van. It’s like camper van version of Unpacking.
The Kickstarter campaign for this game hit the milestones for Switch and PC versions. While there’s no exact release date yet, it’s likely to be released this year.
