Tetragon, the puzzle platformer about a father searching for his missing son, just landed on mobile phones.
Beginning July 19, iOS and Android owners can download and play Tetragon. It currently carries a price tag of $4.99 USD on the Google PlayStore and Apple's App Store.
Tetragon is developed by Cafundó Estúdio Criativo, an indie game-developing studio based in Brazil.
Developers have reimagined the game's mobile version to suit the mobile gaming experience. Mobile players can expect new controls, collectibles, and hidden stages.
With the new controls, Cafundó Estúdio Criativo is hoping to give players a reason to come back to the world of Tetragon and will have an even better experience than their first time around,
they explained.
The 2D puzzle game first launched for PCs and consoles in 2021. It is set in a square-shaped world where walls can suddenly change positions. Its story involved a sacred jewel called the TetraGen and a lumberjack's quest to restore peace and reunite with his son.
Players guide the protagonist Lucios, who also possesses the power of the TetraGen. As Lucios, they can move towers and interact with rotation levers that change the world's orientation.
Along the way, he encounters various enemies and obstacles that test his abilities and courage. He will also discover the secrets of this ancient land and its connection to his son's disappearance.
Tetragon features over 40 levels in three magic worlds: The Room, The Witness, and The Talos Principle. Each world has its own unique aesthetics and mechanics, as the developers described.
The game also bagged several awards and accolades. These included the Best Game and Best Game Design in the Pixel Creative Show Awards 2019.
