The epic-high seas adventure of SteamWorld Heist II is coming this August 8. The crewmates return in this indie-game about pirates and Steambots.
Developers Thunderful announced its much anticipated sequel to one of the best games on PlayStation, SteamWorld Heist.
SteamWorld Heist II takes players into a thrilling new hand-crafted voyage into the high-seas.
Players step into the shoes of Captain Leeway alongside his ragtag crew of Steambots.
This sequel opens its doors to new horizons, above and below. According to the game’s description, “[players] set sail to solve the mystery of a deadly water crisis that’s causing metal limbs and mechanical hearts to corrode.”
Longtime fans of the series will see the return of the game's intense turn-based combat. This signature gameplay mechanic lets players ricochet bullets with deadly precision. It also comes with a hilarious cast of characters and a unique campaign that tests tactical wit

This sequel also comes with new features such as the new Job system. This addition lets players customize their crewmates abilities and equipment. These pave the way towards greater levels of strategizing with limitless possibilities.
SteamWorld Heist II offers a staggering 35 plus hours of gameplay. Meaning there will be more for players to explore. Players can switch between missions by controlling the crew’s submarine in real-time. Now, they have more reason to uncover secrets or gather reputation along the way. The high-seas will be a much more challenging adventure.
The original game SteamWorld Heist came out in 2016. It was available on platforms like 3DS, Wii U and PlayStation Vita. It received acclaim on all platforms, receiving its highest playscore of 9.1 on the PS Vita.
SteamWorld Heist II will launch on August 8, 2024 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Steam. It is also Steam Deck verified.
