The high-octane FPS sequel Phantom Fury has a new explosive gameplay trailer ahead of its April 23 launch.

In the latest video, creator 3D Realms showcases the first-person shooter gameplay of Phantom Fury, as well as some of its important features.

‘Phantom Fury’ is a high-octane first-person shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world. It is the sequel to 2019's Ion Fury, and takes inspiration from classic FPS titles like Duke Nukemand Half-Life.

This highly interactive world is full of immersive activities. This includes hacking computers, flying helicopters and playing arcade machines.

Players take on the role of Shelly “Bombshell” Harrison, first introduced in Ion Fury. She can decimate foes using her trusty Bionic Arm. With it, Shelly can stun, block and damage her enemies.

Her arm is not the only weapon she can wield. Shelly also has a handful of other heavy firearms. With over 20 weapons, players can mix and match their playstyle depending on the situation. Some of these guns, like the Loverboy Revolver, are fan favorites from the original.

The the gameplay video also explains Phantom Fury's relevance to Ion Fury. The creators claim that it is a standalone adventure. As a spin-off sequel, it's story is completely separate from the overarching story of the original.

Phantom Fury will launch on PC via Steam for the price of $24.99. However, 3D realms is also planning to release the game on PS5, Xbox Series X, and Switch. These version are slated for release in 2025.
