The INDIE Live Expo, a biannual digital showcase connecting indie gamers worldwide, has successfully concluded its final event of the year.
Black Tabby Games’ visual novel horror game Slay the Princess received the coveted Grand Prize.
The game was recognized for its creativity and unique character design, all thanks to its originality that defined the indie gaming sphere. Other award winners included Thronefall, which earned the Best Game Feel Award;Chants of Sennaar, recognized with the Rules of Play Award; and clickyland, which won the Best Short Game Award.
The INDIE Live Expo Awards was not just about handing out medals, it it also celebrated excellence in indie game development by unveiling unannounced indie titles coming in the future.
Among the most anticipated reveals was Sofia in Exchange for Lies, a murder mystery adventure currently in development by the Japanese studio, MUTAN. Another Tokyo-based studio,Kodansha, provided a glimpse into its 2025 lineup, including and Roger, a point-and-click visual novel centered on family disappearances, set to launch on PC via Steam in Spring 2025.
Meanwhile, publisher room6 shared updates on multiple projects. These include Pastel☆Parade, a cozy rhythm game coming to PC in Spring 2025, and UNDERGROUNDED, a point-and-click RPG scheduled for Summer 2025.
Since its debut in 2020, INDIE Live Expo has reached a remarkable milestone, amassing more than 100 million cumulative views. Audiences across the globe were treated to a wide array of announcements.
The latest edition featured over 100 games, including world premieres and updates, and celebrated the indie gaming community.
