Good news for PlayStation players!

One of the best PC RPGs, Gordian Quest, is set to welcome more players. And this time, the game will be making its way to PlayStation consoles.

Creators from Maximum Entertainment and Mixed Realms announced that they will roll out Gordian Quest to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Owners and players of PlayStation can get their hands on the game beginning April 30, they said.

Gordian Quest's expansion to PlayStation devices came just months after it got ported to Nintendo Switch.

First released in 2020, Gordian Quest combines deckbuilding and RPG elements. The upcoming PS5 game is inspired by old-school classics like Ultima and Dungeons & Dragons. It also contains turn-based strategic and roguelite combat features.

Players are thrown into the fictional world of Wrendia, on the brink of collapse. It is up to them to save Wrendia from the chaos and darkness. Doing so, they need to build their team, hone their skills and make tough choices.

They can choose up to 10 unique heroes, each with distinct playstyles. Along the way, they can level up their heroes and acquire rare, powerful loot.

Players also need to collect cards that represent their heroes' abilities and actions. When in combat, they must strategically build their deck of cards to defeat enemies.

Gordian Quest has three modes. These are campaign, adventure, and realm. In Campaign Mode, players will get to dive deep into the game's lore. Adventure Mode, meanwhile, allows them to explore procedurally generated landscapes.

Roguelike battles are also available with the Realm Mode where challenges progress with increasing difficulty.

Upon its release, Gordian Quest received positive praises from gamers and critics alike. On Whatoplay, it received a score of 8.6 on PC.
