Cat Quest III is coming to Nintendo Switch, Too!

This year's International Cat Day is still months away but creators of the hit cat-themed PS4 RPG Cat Quest have a surprise for all cat lovers and gamers.

Gentlebros and Kepler Interactive just revealed the release date of Cat Quest III. During the Nintendo Indie World Showcase, both studios revealed that the open-world RPG will be available on August 8th.

August 8th also marks the International Cat Day.

Aside from a planned release for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, developers of Cat Quest III will roll out the game for Nintendo Switch consoles. Switch owners can get their hands on the upcoming Switch game on August 8th as well.

In the meantime, Gentlebros and Kepler Interactive launched a playable demo of Cat Quest III for Switch devices. The demo version allows players to explore the game's initial areas and tropical islands. They can also meet some of its vibrant characters which they can expect in the full edition. Additionally, the demo can support the game's local co-op mode.

As with the previous chapters of Cat Quest, the third main installment in the series throws players a classic treasure hunt with a feline twist.

This time, the story takes place in the archipelago of Purribean. Players become a swashbuckling cat pirate on a quest to find the legendary North Star.

A lost treasure shrouded in mystery, the path towards it is not easy.

Players will have to explore the diverse islands in Purribean, each with its own unique features and inhabitants, including Pi-Rats. Described as 'nasty feline pirates', Pi-Rats are intent on stealing treasures.

The latest trailer for Cat Quest III also hinted at the inclusion of dark caverns and mysterious dungeons as additional areas of exploration.

Cat Quest III will feature local cooperative mode, allowing players to team up with a friend and tackle the challenges together. Check out its newest trailer by clicking the play button below. / ###
